2015: Debut with iKON
Jay was announced b YG Entertainment to be one of the members of the newest group iKon, with their debut song "Welcome Back" last 2015. After B.I's departure from the group due to personal reasons, Jay was been appointed to be the group's leader.
2022: Departure from YG
Last December 30, 2022, YG Entertainment announced that the group are going to leave YG Entertainment and didn't renew their contract anymore, However they are still continuing promoting their group and signed a contract to 143 Entertainment.
