Girls Planet 999 & Kep1er: 2021

Youngeun's participation in Girls Planet 999 as a member of K-Group was disclosed in July 2021. She sang a version of NCT 127's "Kick It" for her evaluation performance, garnering multiple good reactions from both the judge panel and other candidates and earning a spot in the TOP9. Her first Planet Top 9 rank was P06, and her original rank was K10.

Youngeun finished fifth in the final episode on October 22 with 781,657 points and 442,102 votes, making her a member of the show's final group Kep1er.

On November 21, 2021, it was announced that the organization will make its official debut in December 2021 with the launch of the website Hello, Kep1er.
