 YG Treasure Box and TREASURE 13- 2018–2019

Yoshi appeared in YG Entertainment's new survival show, YG Treasure Box, in 2018. He was initially not chosen for the main group, TREASURE, but on January 29, 2019, YGE announced that he would form a second group from the show, MAGNUM. The date is February 2, 2019. He was named the fourth member of the new lineup. The groups would promote as TREASURE 13, but would eventually split into two units. Unfortunately, the debut was postponed due to scandals surrounding the agency.

 

New debut plans, The First Step Series- 2020

On January 6, YG Entertainment announced the group's future plans on their official website. This included reorganizing as a 12-person group and combining the two units, TREASURE and MAGNUM, into a single group called simply TREASURE.
TREASURE released a performance video for their pre-debut track, GOING CRAZY, on January 30. On July 20, YG Entertainment released a teaser video and poster announcing TREASURE's August 7 debut. THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE, TREASURE's debut single album, was released on August 7.

On September 7, it was announced that TREASURE's second single album, THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER TWO, would be released on September 18. On September 1, LINE FRIENDS teased TREASURE STUDIO, and on October 26, YG confirmed that TREASURE's next single album, THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER THREE, would be released on November 6. On December 28, YG announced that their first studio album, THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT, would be released on January 11, 2021. MY TREASURE was announced as the full album's title track by YG.

The First Step: Treasure Effect, Japanese Debut- 2021

On January 11, TREASURE released their first full album, THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT, which includes all of the songs from the first three chapters plus three new songs. MA:NYO, a cosmetics company, revealed TREASURE as their new models on January 20. On January 21, YG announced that TREASURE would release their debut Japanese album, THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT, which will be the Japanese version of all 12 tracks from their first studio album, plus BEAUTIFUL. TREASURE released the full version of their digital single, BEAUTIFUL, on February 14, which was used as the ending theme for the anime, Black Clover.

TRUZ's official merch was released on April 29, and the TRUZ dolls were only available for 8 hours. The dolls sold out in South Korea in under a minute and worldwide in under an hour. YG announced the release of TREASURE's official lightstick on June 21, and it was officially launched on June 28.
