Career
2015–present: Debut with Seventeen and solo activities
Seungkwan made his debut with the South Korean boy band Seventeen in 2015. On May 29, their first EP, 17 Carat, was released digitally. On March 14, a representative for the tvN drama Mother revealed that Seungkwan had contributed to the "Kind of Love" OST. With an acoustic sound, "Kind of Love" depicts a sorrowful love story. On March 21, 2018, Seungkwan and bandmates Hoshi and DK debuted as SVT BSS, a common nickname for the three members together. The band released their debut single "Just Do It" and had a brief promotional run.
In 2018, Seungkwan was cast in the talk show Unexpected Q. At the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards, he received the Rookie (Music and Talk) award.
Seungkwan joined the cast of Prison Life of Fools in 2019, alongside Got7's JB, Jang Do-yeon, Jeong Hyeong-don, and others. Seungkwan was also cast in the talk show Five Cranky Brothers in the same year, alongside Park Joon-hyung (g.o.d.), Seo Jang-hoon, Kim Jong-kook, and Lee Jin-hyuk (UP10TION).
Seungkwan performed "Go" in the OST for the drama Record of Youth on September 7, 2020. Continuing his OST streak, Seungkwan released his third OST, "The Reason," for the drama Lovestruck in the City in January 2021.
Seungkwan joined Kang Ho-dong and Eunhyuk as hosts of the show Job Estate in 2021. (Super Junior). Following his recent exposure of his knowledge of K-Pop history, Seungkwan joined the cast of tvN's Amazing Saturday Spin Off: Idol Dictation Test, alongside MMTG's JaeJae, Super Junior's Eunhyuk, EXO's Kai, and many others.

- Seungkwan was born in Busan, but he lived in Jeju since he was little.
- In June 2012, he joined Pledis Entertainment.
Boo means "adult," Seung means "success," and Kwan means "generous" in Korean.
- He aspires to be a generous heir. He works hard to be generous and enjoys giving energy to others.
- Since his first year of elementary school, he has taken part in school-sponsored Children's Song Festivals.
- He never imagined himself as a singer because he is from Jeju. Fortunately, he was cast through an internet video of him singing at the song festival that his teacher recorded because he was singing his/her favorite song.
